Just a week after dropping the first major PS5 system update, Sony has dropped yet another update that doesn’t bring any new features, but is set to improve system performance. The update comes in at about 1GB and if your console is set to access the internet in rest mode, it should install it automatically.
PS5 Update Version: 21.01-03.10.00
- This system software update improves system performance.
We wouldn’t expect anything major to happen with the update, but hopefully some improved performance and less crashes here and there whilst using the console.
Just as a reminder, the last major update added external hard drive support for PS5 games, changes to game base and the ability to share play across generations.
