Santa Monica Studio’s generation-defining video game God of War is now technically available on PC. Sony’s game pass style on-demand gaming service platform PlayStation Now has blessed PC gamers with the opportunity to experience the triple-A masterpiece.
PS Now works in a similar way to the Xbox Game Pass for those who are unfamiliar. Subscribers to the service will have access to hundreds of PlayStation-exclusive games.
How to play PS4’s God of War on PC
Here’s how to play God of War on your PC:
- Visit PlayStation Now’s official page.
- Download the application.
- Sign In or Sign Up for PlayStation Network.
- Subscribe to PS Now to gain access to a library of PlayStation exclusive games including God of War.
- Plug in a DualShock 4.
- Start playing and enjoying games!
Take note that DualSense is still not supported on PlayStation Now for PC.
In 2018, Santa Monica launched a soft reboot of the series on the PlayStation 4. You’d think that, given the impact of this title in the gaming world, Santa Monica Studio’s immensely successful blockbuster would deserve the same treatment as Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone which got proper PC ports. Unfortunately, God of War is not available on any gaming service platform for PC.
We currently don’t have any information regarding God of War ever getting a proper PC port. At the very least, PC gamers who do not possess a PlayStation 4 now have access to one of the best games ever made. However, with the leaked acquisition of Sony of Bluepoint Games, this might become a reality sometime soon.
