Riot has not announced “Valorant” for consoles in any official capacity, but the company has stated that it was working on prototypes at one point. In a June 8, 2020, interview with GameSpot, Anna Donlon, executive producer on “Valorant,” said that Riot was prototyping console versions of the game but said they would only release them if the game translated to consoles well.
“If we feel like we can deliver this experience on those platforms, we absolutely will,” Donlon told GameSpot. “But we really want Valorant to stand for a certain type of gameplay and a certain type of experience.”
Felipe Romero, a principal engineer at Riot Games, told PlayStation Universe that the next-gen consoles could easily hit 120FPS with lowered resolutions and maybe at 4K resolution. This comment shows that Riot Games is at least toying around with the idea of console ports, but they haven’t announced anything official yet.
