Developer Firesprite has revealed that sci-fi survival horror title The Persistence will be coming to Xbox Series X|S with next-gen enhancements this June.
Originally released as a VR title in 2018, The Persistence was then adjusted for regular console players, releasing on Xbox One in 2020. With its background in virtual reality, the game relies heavily on immersion, and The Persistence Enhanced aims to dial up the atmosphere and tension with improved lighting and particle effects, bolstered by ray tracing in Quality Mode. Players who own the game on Xbox One can get a free upgrade on Xbox Series X|S.
“We’re really excited to debut The Persistence on next-generation hardware, bringing improvements that intensify the immersive stealth horror for both existing players and newcomers alike.” said Managing Director of Firesprite, Graeme Ankers.
